At the foot of the staircase of the collegiate church of San Giovanni Battista, one can admire the so-called Fontana Secca (“dry fountain”), a structure in peperino that dates back to 1520. The fountain was built by the Orsini and has the form of a sacred aedicule in which, instead of the religious image, there is a marble basin in the shape of a shell and two fountains that come from two animal texts.

On the fountain you can recognize the coats of arms of the Orsini family and the city of Campagnano.
