The last Sunday of August the Madonna Addolorata is celebrated with a solemn procession.
The last Sunday of July is celebrated by the Patron Saint George with a procession from the Collegiate of St. Michael Archangel. The statue of the saint is brought through the streets of the village.
All the streets and squares of the old town are decorated with seasonal flowers and plants. It is a feast that transforms the village of Vico. On that carpet will pass the procession of Corpus Domini.
In the Colli district Santa Barbara is patron saint. The Holy Day is December 4th, but in Vico all the winter festivals have traditionally been moved to the summer during the period of wildlife of nature and when shepherds had returned to the mountains with their flocks.
On the first Sunday of July Santa Maria Goretti is celebrated with a solemn procession and tasting of local food.
On January 17, the patron saint of animals is celebrated with a mass in the church of Our Lady of Grace where the icon of the Saint is located, and is followed by the traditional blessing of animals.
At dusk of April 25, great bonfires called “fauni” are lit in the Piazzale di San Giorgio. This fire is prepared with all the scraps of the ploughing and pruning of plants and is said to serve to drive away the cold and welcome spring.
May 1 is the combination of Sacred and Profane, firstly joining the celebration of the Madonna del Campo at the sanctuary and then the festival that takes place in the spaces opposite the sanctuary. The Festival of Gnocchi with Sheep ragu also includes a menu of grilled sheep, omelette with asparagus, dessert and local wine.
On July 11, the Fair of Saint Pius is held, which starts at the beginning of the dawn and ends late in the evening.
On 2 weekends of July there are three days dedicated to the horse with walks in nature and to the historical and natural beauties of the Ernici Mountains, especially the Municipalities of Vico nel Lazio and Collepardo. The festival is accompanied by traditional tastings and music.
Held to recognise personalities that give and have given lustre to, and made known Vico nel Lazio outside the regional and national boundaries.
On August 10-11, this celebration is held in honour of the local emigrants returning to the country on summer vacation. Tasting of typical products with traditional Gnocchi and Pecora sauce.
On the penultimate weekend in August, in Colle County, there are musical shows and tasting of local dishes.
August 14-16 is the traditional time dedicated to St. Rocco, the protector from the plague. The procession is followed by a tasting of typical local recipes in the square on special tables. All is accompanied by local wine and traditional music.
In October, the Feast of the Madonna of the Rosary is held; and at the same time, there is the festival of Sagne and Beans, Sausages and Beans, Pig’s trotters and Beans. The feast is hosted by the Madonna brotherhood.
During the second Saturday of September the “Madonna della Concordia” is celebrated, together with the traditional Rabbit Festival, dedicated to one of the traditional dishes of Vico nel Lazio.
In December, a party is held dedicated to the traditional winter dish: polenta.
