The remains of Camerata Vecchia are located at an altitude of 1230 meters on a slope of Monte Camposecco, where the Simbuini mountains of Lazio meet those of Abruzzo. You may recognize the typical rough construction that had stolen ‘space’ from the rugged mountains. Every house had at least one side closed by a rock wall. Some were real caves. The water was collected with a system that collected and channelled the rain.
