‘Old Fumone’

They are the remains of a sighting tower located in the “Montelungo” site of which the four sides are standing and in which the loopholes for shooting arrows stand out.

Inside, you can still see the attachment to the fallen ceiling. The ruin is in a favorable position to have controlled the territory and perhaps replaced a larger destroyed fortification in the fire set by Barbarossa in 1155 when he tried to capture Fumone.
