Park of Bracciano-Martignano Lakes

This area has many natural peculiarities protected by the park of the two lakes of Bracciano and Martignano. Inside the park there is also the Caldara of Martian, the Faggeta of Oriolo Romano and Pantanelle and Lagusiello. The lakes are located on the bottom of a basin linked to the activity of an ancient volcano from about 400,000 years ago. They 159 species of birds have been spotted, including 72 nesting in the Park.
