The necropolis consists of 81 exhumed graves and 4 cremation tombs dating back to the 8th and 4th centuries BC. Some of them have rich outfitting comprising ceramic pots made of brown materials of bronze such as fibulas, rings, tripods, knives and spears, iron swords and weights and frame spools. Silver trinkets and necklaces made of amber and glass paste have also been found, clearly coming from other places and towns, perhaps along the famous Via dell’Ambra from the Baltics.
In an area near the necropolis traces of pottery of daily use have been found that suggest the presence of an ancient village near the slope of Monte Carbolino.
