With a height of about thirty meters it is the tallest building in the town and dominates the Amaseno Valley. It was the ‘male’ of the castle of the Colonna, and dates from the fifteenth century. The castle originally had a boundary wall at the corners of which towered four cylindrical towers of about eleven meters. It has four bells and the great bell is played by hand only in large feasts. The tower from the eighteenth century has a clock.
