The church was remodeled in the sixteenth century, but has a more ancient origin that is deduced from the oculus (cirular opening) in the façade and the six windows with round arches on the sides.

The building has a single nave that ends with an apse above which rises a belfry. The apse and the presbytery are decorated with frescoes attributed to Bartolomeo Torresani.
