The church is of medieval origin but was rebuilt in 1642.

The interior has a nave with six chapels and there are works of art by Sebastiano Conca, Eugenio Cisterna and the seventeenth-century school.

The church is elevated above the level of the square and entrance is through the bronze gate of the sculptor Tommaso Gismondi. On the portal of the church tiles made by Tommaso Gismondi show the history of Morolo.
