The style of the Church of St. Anne in Pontinia is very particular with the white marble bell tower, 50 meters high, at the center of the facade surrounded by niches always in white marble.

The plan recalls the shape of organ pipes. The church was designed by the architect Frezzotti who also worked on the interior.

Along the bell tower are placed reliefs representing the four Evangelists: Matthew (man / angel), Mark (the lion), Luke (ox) and John (the eagle).

The face of the statue of St. Anne, on the facade, would seem to have the features of Benito Mussolini’s face.
