The earliest evidence of the city dates back to the ninth century BC and comprises an area of ​​approximately 150 hectares. There are many remains of habitation, which are visible among the ruins of a temple, Ara della Regina, which dates from the fourth century BC. The temple had a single cell and a colonnade and was built of tufa and wood. You can recognize the route of the ancient city walls all from the fourth century BC.
