The second Sunday of September there is the “Festival of Caciottelle”, an event-market where the local shepherds put on sale their dairy products: caciottelle (soft cheese of sheep milk) called “marzoline”, cheese from typical local goat’s milk.
The fair was officially established January 16, 1839 with a papal act of Cardinal Giustiniani to help local agriculture. In fact, sales and business that were concluded on that day were exempt from duties and taxes.
