From the seventeenth to nineteenth centuries, Affile had a reputation for two families of organ builders. The Catarinozzi and Spadari designed and built the organs for the Abbey of Montecassino, Sant’Anna of the Lombardi family in Naples, the cathedral of Anagni, Sora cathedral and the church of Santa Maria in Via Lata, Rome.
