The building is located in the highest part of the historic centre, and has clear signs of medieval fortification with the bell tower of the thirteenth century and defensive buttresses on the rock. In the building, on three floors, many ancient architectural features have been retained such as portals and stone window frames, chimneys, vents, the floors tiled in geometric design, the counter-decorated coffered wood ceilings and the frescoes . The palace is surrounded by a natural garden with various species of trees.

The palace houses the Civic Museum, laid out with equipment, furnishings, teaching boards, special systems and structured on nine territorial interest issues.
