Santopadre. Old Town

In the old town the medieval of Santopadre, remains of the walls can be recognised, with numerous cylindrical towers, some embedded in private homes.

Originally the walls had seven semicircular towers which reinforced the weak points.

A tower from 1830 has been transformed into the cistern. Two are set against the corners of the San Folco church and have been transformed into a bell tower and the sacristy.
