In the valley of Campoli Appennino lies the Bear Wildlife Area Bruno Marsicano. The bear is the symbol of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, of which Campoli Apennino is part.
The area was designed to accommodate the bears who can no longer live in freedom and that, in this way, they can move in a natural setting in 15 hectares of woodland.
It is possible to observe the bears from the path around the sinkhole or from a lookout in Piazza Umberto I.
