15 July: "Art Safari" in the Cesanese Territory

What a great emotion to be in the evocative Sala della Ragione in Anagni to present an APP that guides you through a game to discover our beautiful towns!

It all started thanks to the Strada del Cesanese with Nino Borgia who falls in love with the Safari d’Arte project (http://www.safaridarte.it) of the Ara Macao Association, which has already been successfully tested in other cities.
"Why not do it in the municipalities of the Cesanese road?"
No sooner said than done.

From today, the Art Safari APP can be downloaded (http://www.safaridarte.it/app/) with itineraries in the municipalities of Anagni, Acuto, Affile, Paliano, Piglio and Serrone.

An invitation to share it all but also to taste more and more the quality of Cesanese wines which has reached levels of absolute pleasure.
Walking through the historic center of Anagni it is now possible to meet wine bars with expert staff who guide you in an intriguing way to discover the wine and the territory.

The young people are prepared, they have studied and they want to grow together with their town.

The link between businesses and the territory is the real strength we have in Italy and strengthening this connection is what can transform the tourist boom of the smaller territories into permanent wealth and true sustainable development.
This is why we have created the Discoverplaces Network in which we help companies to do marketing in connection with their territory, to understand how to exploit our history and grow together (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

We were very pleased to meet Carlo Zucchetti, another active protagonist in the promotion of our territory and the Cesanese, author with Pasquale Pace of the Enogastronomic Guide "The Places of the Cesanese".

But back to the Treasure Hunt and to this project that has now become a reality. As the mayor of Anagni Daniele Natalia rightly said, we will all have to actively promote it and the municipality will put it on its website to invite citizens and tourists to download it.

Our strength is in our past and we will be able to build a sustainable future if we know how to understand it and if we are committed to filling our weaknesses by learning to welcome Italian and international tourists.

Obviously it all ended with a tasting of some of the best Cesanese wines, from the cured meats of Fausto Minori di Serrone that I will never cease to thank and a taste of one of the symbols of Anagnina cuisine: the Timballo alla Bonifacio VIII.

30 June: Discoverplaces presents the "Terre del Cesanese" to China

A seed if well watered bears fruit, so also the hospitality to 4 young Chinese bloggers who last year came to know the Terre del Cesanese has brought its sweet fruits (you can see their story here: https: // www. youtube.com/watch?v=NF3o07uF3sA)
Monday and Tuesday, a year later, we returned to relive another fantastic experience together with two young Chinese influencers who in this year are traveling all over Italy, from Venice to Sicily, to tell the beauties of our country in China (https : //abitarearoma.it/la-cina-e-vicina-a-roma/) and that this week they were with us to discover the lands of Cesanese.
Our new friends are Amelie Wei, vlogger and journalist for Phoenix TV in Hong Kong, and Ciso, blogger of A Chinese friend, who with his dual Italian and Chinese culture is the reference point for all young Italians and Italian-Chinese. who want to know each other.

We are sure they will come back to visit us again.
It all stems from the passion for horses and from our Horse Museum where we have collected over a thousand objects including art, crafts and kitsch from all over the world and where the love for this animal can be breathed. Those who love horses recognize themselves.
From the photographic set of the museum to the one with the real horses and we took them on a visit to
Genazzano to caress Letter and his Alcam foal and for a photo shoot with our Italian champion Alessandro Donati and his splendid horses.
But beyond the horse we have thrilled them as the exciting Flight of the Angel of Fly in the Sky in Rocca Massima and a 'particular' dinner at Casale Verdeluna with the unforgettable wines of the L'Avventura farm and with the music of young Ciociari who sang the typical and funny songs of their land.
Together with the equestrian center, the farmhouse was another exceptional photographic set with the small bunches of grapes that have just started to come out and the sunset light that makes everything magical.
Telling our beauties is not enough, and to bring foreign tourists closer you need more.

You have to use the emotion of an experience, accompanied by a welcome that takes into account all the aspects necessary to make the tourist feel welcome in our beautiful country. Where to start? From a smile and the right training like the one we developed in the Friend Of Tourist seminars (www.friendoftourist.com)!
Those who sow well reap, and for us this is proof that, a year later, we are on the right path.
We will tell you more about our special guests in the next articles, keep following us!

Pantelleria. Architecture and UNESCO heritage landscape

The architecture of Pantelleria has unique features that make a stay on this island a real experience. The traditional house is the ‘dammuso’, a house with an Arabic style capable of being comfortable in the hot Mediterranean climate, warm in winter and cool in summer.

Today many ‘dammusi’ have been transformed into tourist residences by famous architects and it is possible to experience the feeling of living between the past and the future with a style that can only be found in Pantelleria.

The dammuso is a construction made of dry volcanic stones. It has large perimeter stone walls and a domed roof covered with white lime.

The interior was generally made up of 3 rooms: a central bedroom (living room / kitchen), a dressing room (traditionally reserved for children) and an alcove (double bedroom).

The dammuso has a variety of commodities, the houses have gardens surrounded by dry stone walls that can reach a height of 4 meters, in order to protect the crops from the wind, and cisterns for collecting rainwater.

The dry stone walls of the Mediterranean are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Pantelleria. A “HIGH TECH” Island

The island of Pantelleria was selected as one of the 12 Italian municipalities of the ‘Smarter Italy’ project, by the Ministry for Technological Innovation and Digitization, to create innovative services in the sectors of mobility, the environment, citizens’ well-being and cultural development.

Pantelleria is also home to the ‘Pantelleria Youth Forum’, a project for young people to plan the sustainable development of the island and the Mediterranean.

Thanks to the strong digital development, Pantelleria has also decided to start a program to become Chinese Friendly and to be able to welcome Chinese tourists by putting them at ease.

Pantelleria. Spa

of the volcanoes has created some characteristic hot springs and pleasant natural pools that allow you to immerse yourself and take advantage of the warmth rising from the earth.

The whole island is a pleasant spa open all year round and among its particularities we want to point out the town and the pools of Gadir, not far from Giorgio Armani’s house.

Another enchanted place is the Mirror of the Lake of Venus which occupies the bottom of an ancient volcano with a water temperature of around 40 ° C, perfect for mud baths and treatments.

In the Benikulà Cave, also called a “dry bath”, you can make a natural sauna with water, making vapor come out of the ground.

In the Favare area, at the foot of the Montagna Grande, on the other hand, you can witness the spectacle of particular jets of reddish water vapor. Finally, the volcanic cone of Kuddia Mida from which vapors continually escape is worth mentioning.

For its natural and historical peculiarities, and also for its cuisine and its famous wine, Pantelleria has been chosen by many VIPs who come here to spend their holidays from all over the world.

The best known and also the most passionate is certainly the designer Giorgio Armani who has had his own villa for over 25 years and spends his moments of relaxation in Gadir on the island. Giorgio Armani loves the island so much that he gave medical equipment to the local hospital.

But his fascination over the years has struck great writers such as Gabriel Garcìa Marquez and Truman Capote, actresses such as Michelle Pfeiffer, Julia Roberts, Isabella Rossellini, Monica Bellucci, Carole Bouquet and directors such as Giuseppe Bertolucci of ‘The Last Emperor.

Many musicians also appreciate its beauty and over the years Eric Clapton, Sting and Madonna have passed through Pantelleria.
