Nerola. Waterfall in the Linguessa 'gorge'

In the thick of lush vegetation in Nerola appears a Linguessa gorge more than 20 meters deep, in which the crystalline waters of the Fosso Corese stream pour down.

It is a 'gorge', namely a ‘forra’ created from the erosion of two rocks that the stream encounters at this point. The waters are only seasonal and in summer the river is mostly dry.

On the river bank you can see an old mill that took advantage of the power of the waterfall. The mill is fully restored.
