Cassino. The Military Cemeteries

Many of the fallen of the four battles of Cassino rest in the military cemeteries, visited each year for poignant commemorations ceremonies and pilgrimages from all over the world.

In Cassino there are the Commonwealth War Cemetery (with 4,266 graves of soldiers from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Nepal and Pakistan, plus a Red Army cemetery, one German and one Polish.

The French and Italian shrines can be found in neighbouring municipalities while that of the Americans is at Nettuno.
