Cave. Museum of Peasant Life

Cave. Museum of Peasant Life

The Museum of Peasant Life of Cave is housed in the basements of the former convent of the church of Santo Stefano, which now houses the offices of the municipality.

The premises are close to those where the Monumental Nativity scene of the Ferri Museum is displayed.

Museum halls show a collection of tools used by peasants before mechanization, and those used for baking and transforming agricultural productions.

Thanks to the rediscovery of the traditions of the past, an ancient mulberry cultivation was rebuilt in Cave with the silkworm rearing for silk production.
