Albano Laziale. Bajocco Festival

Albano Laziale. Bajocco Festival

Street artists come to Albano Laziale for the Bajocco Festival which takes its name from an ancient coin of little value used around 1500.

It is a reference to the custom of the artists to put their hat in front of their shows seeking coins from the spectators.

During the two days the streets and squares of the centre are filled with artists and the town is divided into two large sections: one for circus artists, such as acrobats, jugglers, musicians, clowns, and one for musicians.
