Ascoli Piceno. Mountains and Sea

The position of Ascoli Piceno is strategic for spending a holiday between history and nature, and between mountains and sea.

The city is located 110 km from the Isola del Gran Sasso at the foot of the Gran Sasso, the highest mountain in central Italy with the summit at an altitude of 2912 meters. The area is part of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park and has 4 ski areas surrounded by nature where you can practice winter sports.

It is close to the enchanting Mount Vettore where the River Tronto begins.

In summer, however, you can go to the sea in in San Benedetto del Tronto or Grottammare on the Adriatic Sea, in the Riviera delle Palme. The sandy sea and the numerous palm trees make it perfect for a relaxing holiday for the whole family between sun and sea baths.
