Lepanto is an excellent Cesanese del Piglio Superiore Riserva DOCG produced in the hills of Paliano by Alberto Giacobbe and his family for three generations.
Its name is linked to the history of Paliano where the Colonna family still resides, famous for their ancestor Marcantonio Colonna, hero of the famous Battle of Lepanto which decided the fate of the Western world in 1571.
Tasting a glass of Cesanese Red Wine means tasting the best of Ciociaria, an unmistakable wine with a garnet color that releases aromas of red fruits and undergrowth. Lepanto is aged …… degrees… .. and has an intense and decisive taste, it is like taking a tour in the history of Paliano and is perfect for a meat-based dinner with friends or an aperitif with cold cuts and cheeses.
The vineyards of the Giacobbe farm are located at the foot of Monte Scalambra and the cellar was designed to welcome visitors and host tastings and small events.
In addition to the fine Cesanese del Piglio DOCG it is possible to taste Duchessa, the Passerina del Frusinate IGP.
It is possible to book tastings and visits to the cellar and buy wines..
