Great success of the two days dedicated to the knowledge of Lazio wines organized by the Pro Loco of Paliano and curated by Discoverplaces.
The Vino in Festa event in Paliano ended and for two mornings we introduced a large group of young people to the knowledge of the Cesanese del Piglio DOCG wine (Paliano is within the area) and the wines of Lazio.
When Oscar Schifalacqua and the other members of the Pro Loco board contacted us, we were very happy to make our knowledge available to everyone, a community only grows together. And as an African proverb says: "if you want to go fast, run alone, if you want to go far, run together with others".
Wine tourism is the driving force behind the development of entire areas of the world, some landscapes have become UNESCO intangible heritage, think of the Langhe, the Prosecco hills or the Chianti area. Some vine growing methods, such as the sapling cultivation of Pantelleria, are also a UNESCO heritage site.
Lazio and Paliano were the Cinderella of wine, excluded from these socioeconomic dynamics. Our territory has lost the wine culture it had in the past and if it wants to return to the fore it must start from the diffusion of the wine culture and the connected territorial marketing processes.

Today Lazio has changed its image, the pavilion at Vinitaly and other wine fairs has finally reflected the quality of our wines, many young entrepreneurs have entered this enchanted but also competitive and professional world.
I must admit that I was surprised by the morning time of the lessons during the weekend, but the strong presence of young people made everything more pleasant for me and the lessons lasted beyond two hours thanks to the many questions from the participants.
Fortunately, this spring we had organized the Course on Wine Tasting and Serving Techniques and I had all the material prepared to be able to answer all their questions.
Thanks guys and thanks to the enthusiasm of the young Palianese (even if some came from Segni, Ferentino and Anagni).
