The Sforza Cesarini park is unique in the Castelli Romani for its charming and magical English style. It covers a slope from the town centre of Genzano di Roma arriving on the shores of Lake Nemi.
Duke Lorenzo Sforza Cesarini dedicated it to his wife of British origin Caroline Shirley.
You can see a landscape filled with plants, caves, small lakes, ruins and wonderful panoramic views.
The work was directed by the architect Augusto Lanciani, from 1847 to 1857 approximately.
