The well of Miesole, better known as "Puzzu 'e Miesu" is a cavity on the slopes of Monte Cosce in Configni first explored in 1954.
It is a big deep pit about 50 m deep that, at 20 meters, is divided into two parallel wells that end in a large underground hall 60 m long, 40 wide and 15 high.
In 2008 a side room was discovered that leads to new areas now in course of exploration.
In one of these the skull of an Apennine deer was found that is being studied for DNA.
The Pozzo can be explored by speleologists respecting the necessary safety standards.
