Blera. War Memorial

In front of the Blera school a very special War Memorial.

The monument was created, dedicated to all the soldiers who died during the First World War and in battles and wars in general.

The sculpture is composed of two parts, one part in elevation in which the inscription 'Per la patria' is engraved and the other part in bronze representing an artistic vision of a soldier hit by a shell while almost flying.

It is an image that demonstrates the violence of war but also the grace of a liberating momentum of the soul of a man now in tatters that hovers in the air.
