Frascati. Fortress

The Frascati fortress is located on the terracing between the San Rocco and Paolo III squares, a robust construction that dates back to the 1400s.

The original nucleus consists of the mighty central square tower. The interior houses, in addition to some archaeological finds from the Tusculan area, a canvas by Carlo Maratta on the altar of the Chapel and in a hall the medallions depicting all the Tusculan bishops, the work of Taddeo Kuntze.
