Colleferro arrives. This is the final synthesis of a crazy journey started a few years ago by a young mayor and two architects who followed him in his dreams. And they were all right.
The 16th edition of the Rome Film Festival 2021 is about to begin and in the Riflessi section the narrated documentary - CITTÀ NOVECENTO by Dario Biello and Pierluigi Ferrandini (romacinemafest.it/en) is competing.
Thus, after Carlo Verdone and Quentin Tarantino, the protagonists of Colleferro's cultural renaissance will cross the red carpet at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome.
Città Novecento is a documentary narrated by Alessandro Haber which illustrates the history of Colleferro as the archetype of the 1900 foundation city. During its realization the whole city was mobilized to participate as extras and relive in some new way the story of their parents, of their family.
The storyis set in the factory and in the inhabited centre and tells the evolution and growth of Colleferro from the Liberty Workers' Village to the plan of Riccardo Morandi.
An urban but also social evolution of a city that was born as a rationalist activity in the 1930s and which became a business city after the war.
A journey between work and technological innovation of a community that has been able to regenerate itself by opening up to the future, to the point of becoming the European Capital of Space.
A docufilm with fiction interpreted by Alessandro Haber, and interviews by Antonio Pennacchi, Emilio Gentile, Massimo Cacciari, Claudia Conforti, Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi, Maurizio Morandi and other authoritative names.
Colleferro Città Novecento has been included in a very prestigious section: Riflessi (Reflections)
