Genazzano. Town marching band Luigi Gardini

Municipal Historical Archive shows the formation of a band or Musical Concert in July 1845 in Genazzano.

It was approved, in turn, by the Congregation of Studies of the papal administration on September 2, 1846.

The town marching band of Genazzano is named after Luigi Gardini teacher who had been director between 1893 and 1913.

The band has played an important role in promoting culture in an era when live concerts were the only way of getting to know the music and harmony.
