Bellegra. Roman gate and Bottino

Roman gate represents the entrance to the village on the ‘facing Rome' and it opens on the oldest and highest part of Bellegra.

It was connected to the nearby castle.

In the 1950's, a reservoir (water tank called bottino) for water distribution was constructed in the town next to the door in the shape of a modern tower.

Today it is not in use but the tower is perfectly integrated in the village.
