Viterbo. Valentino della Pagnotta palace

Valentino della Pagnotta palace is located in the square of the Palazzo dei Papi right next to the Cathedral of San Lorenzo and has a particular medieval character of the thirteenth century. In fact, the large arcades of the loggia of the front elevation have a grandiose character that fits into a building of more modest dimensions.

The name of the palace comes from a farmer who was elected Prior of the city in 1458.

Over the centuries the palace had undergone tampering and the portico had been closed, but after the bombings of the Second World War, the palace was restored according to the original medieval style.
